FCSIT Postgraduate Programmes
Our Master in Advanced IT (MAIT) is a master by coursework programmes and is designed to extend knowledge and skills gained from the first degree and to develop new professional skills in graduates. The programmes involve lectures, seminars and project work. Students are required to successfully complete the minimum credit as required by the respective programme (between 40 – 44 credits) and a final Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of at least 3.0 in order to graduate. The Master degree by Coursework is offered every February and September.
Research programme refers to graduate programme that is wholly research based. Student is assigned to an experienced member of academic staff as supervisor or to a supervisory panel. A panel is made up of graduate staff and experts from either within or outside the University. We offer both master and PhD by research in various computer science area of interest.
The academic progress of research student is evaluated two times a year through progress reports. The degree is examined through the presentation of a thesis and a viva voce examination. A student who has satisfied the Graduate Studies Committee in all aspects of their work is eligible for the award of the degree.
