Programmes Offered


Undergraduate

The faculty offers five undergraduate programmes:

  • Bachelor of Computer Science with Honours (Computational Science) - WC00.
  • Bachelor of Computer Science with Honours (Information Systems) - WC03.
  • Bachelor of Computer Science with Honours (Multimedia Computing) - WC09.
  • Bachelor of Computer Science with Honours (Software Engineering) - WC10.
  • Bachelor of Computer Science with Honours (Network Computing) - WC11.

Further information on each of these programmes are described under Programmes Overview. UNIMAS has two semesters in a year and each semester will have a duration of 17 weeks which consists of 14 weeks of lecture, one week of revision and two weeks of examination.

Programme Educational Objectives (PEO)

For Programme WC00 Computational Science, WC03 Information System, WC09 Multimedia Computing, WC10 Software Engineering, WC11 Network Computing
The programme shall produce graduates who are:
1. Producing graduates who are founded in the core knowledge of Computer Science with programme specialization
2. Bearing graduates who can think critically and possess high ability to solve problem
3. Equipping graduates by showing noble professionalism, value and ethics as well as moral
4. Producing graduates who can demonstrate knowledge sharing ability and obtain latest information and skills using computer hardware and software
5. Bringing out graduates who have leadership ability and high knack in themselves
6. Producing pro-active graduates who are able to demonstrate entrepreneurship skills and sensitive to the needs of community from time to time

Programme Learning Outcomes (PLO)

For Programme WC00 Computational Science, WC03 Information System, WC09 Multimedia Computing, WC10 Software Engineering, WC11 Network Computing.
Upon graduating from this programme, the students are able to:
1. Predominate the knowledge of Computer Science with programme specialization
2. Perform technical and programming skills in system development
3. Manage communication skills
4. Present creative and innovative solutions in relative to problems which need suitable scientific approach
5. Build teamwork skills as well as social responsibility and skills
6. Find and manage information and perform life-long learning
