Programmes Offered


Undergraduate

The faculty offers five undergraduate programmes:

  • Bachelor of Computer Science with Honours (Computational Science) - WC00.
  • Bachelor of Computer Science with Honours (Information Systems) - WC03.
  • Bachelor of Computer Science with Honours (Multimedia Computing) - WC09.
  • Bachelor of Computer Science with Honours (Software Engineering) - WC10.
  • Bachelor of Computer Science with Honours (Network Computing) - WC11.

Further information on each of these programmes are described under Programmes Overview. UNIMAS has two semesters in a year and each semester will have a duration of 17 weeks which consists of 14 weeks of lecture, one week of revision and two weeks of examination.

Programme Educational Objectives (PEO)

For Programme WC00 Computational Science, WC03 Information System, WC09 Multimedia Computing, WC10 Software Engineering, WC11 Network Computing
The programme shall produce graduates who are:
1. Producing graduates who are founded and possessing the ability to apply core knowledge of Computer Science with programme specialization for the aspiration of society.
2. Nurturing graduates who can think critically and possess ability to solve problem for the requirements of the industry.
3. Equipping graduates with leadership, professionalism and ethics to meet the needs of the stakeholders.

Programme Learning Outcomes (PLO)

For Programme WC00 Computational Science, WC03 Information System, WC09 Multimedia Computing, WC10 Software Engineering, WC11 Network Computing.
Upon graduating from this programme, the students are able to:
1. Apply knowledge of Computer Science with programme specialization to meet industry needs.
2. Demonstrate technical and programming skills to solve Computer Science problems.
3. Communication effectively with industry and society.
4. Develop creative and innovative solutions in relative to problems which involves scientific approach.
5. Build teamwork skills as well as social responsibility.
6. Manage information and perform life-long learning in the broadcast context of technological change.
7. Build knowledge and skills in management and entrepreneurship.
8. Practise professionalism, value, attitude, and ethical behaviour in the society.
9. Demonstrate leadership skills in working environment.
